Ouch! - Lost sebenza

Nope not yet. I might have lost it it the snow/ice while there, I may run an add in the paper there.

Ahhhh that's a tough one. I feel for you though. I lost a Mnandi once in college. We were playing a pick-up game of football and like a dunce I left it in my pocket. I searched around outside for at least two hours with a flash light. Never turned up. Some lucky undergrad must have found it.

Seems to have turned up in a driveway up in kennebunkport.

It will be interesting to see what it looks like after spending 25 days out in a couple of snow storms. I'll get some pix up next week when I get it back.

:( Hope it's back in your pocket quickly!

I know the feeling. Thought I lost my sebenza a few months ago. Turned out I forgot to put it in my pocket that morning.

Dave:
Great to see you got your knife back! Those Mayonized ones are nice but not replacable! ;) :D

Hey bro that's awesome! you and that knife are meant to be together forever! ...sebbie love over comes all obstacles!

:D

Great news!

But what's the story? What driveway? Who found it? How did you find out that it was found? Did they know what they'd found?

C'mon Dave, I mean to get back any lost knife, let alone one so dear, it's one in a million.

I'm dying for you to fill in the pieces of the puzzle. :)

When we went up we stopped downtown. Walked around. Stopped by a persons house for a short time. Went to dinner, walked around some more. I noticed it was gone during dinner.

The person we visited found it in their driveway. Ironically they are the ones that ask me what I collect at dinner and that's when I noticed it gone. But there was about 12 inches of snow on the ground (and in their driveway) at the time, then we got another snow storm since then. It's only been in the last few days we've been warm enough to melt almost all the snow. I was just thinking I should put an ad in the paper for it.

It's probably a good thing they asked, they would not have known who's or what it was when they did find it.

One in a million? maybe. You might want to see this thread:

Good for you! Always good to hear a happy ending story. I thought I lost my gold bracelet a couple weeks ago but fortunately I found it where I last left it - in my car. Whew!

I didn't want to reply to this till you found it.

I also have a Mayonized Lg Classic Sebbie, one of the last ones he did.

I carried it for a few days before I sent it off and glad I did. The second or third day I had it, it got snagged on the seatbelt (?) and luckily was laying on the seat when I missed it.

That same day I called CRK and ordered the little tab that covers the hole where the clip goes. BTW, those lil suckers are expensive!

As soon as that arrived it was installed and the knife went off to Mr. Mayo.

At the same time, a call went out to MtMike who had an original S. Africa Sebbie to make a belt sheath for it. It is vertical, tip down, and nice and snug.

It has been on my belt ever since with no worries.

It is also the only folder I own.
