Ouch, my Adamas!

Lol you should see my Adamas I beat that knife like a redheaded step child, if u wanna trade let me know. Lol

Congradulations, your blade is starting to look like a real man's knife and not something out of some nerd's collection drawer. Here's my Emerson Super Commander....not exactly "out-of-box condition" either.

I guess you will have to use that knife now that the scratches are out of the way.;)

Nice.
It wasn't so much that the scratches bothered me, as much as it was totally unexpected. I didn't think those measly 2 bolt heads would do so much.

When my z-wear SnG started looking like that, I got stoked. I feel like I am babying my knives if they look too pristine. The coating, in my opinion, is there to wear off and make your blade look tough as nails.

I will make the customary generous offer of disposing properly of that now barely functional.knife as a favor to you. ;)

That's funny. . . Adamas is my only knife i have zero regard for, cheapish and tuff as a box of iron nails.. I'm trying to give it a hard time to get some character on it... maybe I can send it to someone who can kick its ass a bit?

Just think of it as a stonewash of sorts to break in the knife:thumbup: the knife survived that a lot better than your phone would have!!!

If you ask nicely Benchmade may send you a new pocket clip and the scratches on the g10 handle can be removed with some sandpaper and a little elbow grease. The blade is also fixable but it would probably involve removing the coating and a whole lot of hand rubbing. Or just tell yourself it gives the knife "character" and live with it;)

Is the tan G10 scale painted tan or is the whole scale tan G10 ?I can't see any paint that scratched off the tan scale.Just curious?

Conflicting information and I am wondering if there are actually Pure tan g10 models out there. As I look at the pictures his seems to appear to be a non painted G10 scale.I wonder why they painted them in the first place instead of just using a pure tan G10 scale.I really can't tell from pictures and would be able to tell if the knife was in my hand.

look at it this way, its better your knife picked up a few new "dings and dents" than you did ;) .... looks good, I'm all for taking care of your stuff, but a carry knife shouldn't look NIB. im a concrete finisher/mason, and in my line of work "like new" tools are unused tools.
