Ouch!!

My RAT RC3 and I got acquainted right off the bat - a little blood on the blade - and now we are one.

I had my HEST out of its box for FOUR minutes exactly. Long enough to tie the lanyard around my belt and pull it out to look at it. As I drew the blade upside down, I used my inside of my fingers to pop it out of its sheath, instead of my thumb, and ran the SCARY sharp edge across the inside of my middle finger. less than 3 inches of draw across my finger and I was bone deep, 4 stitches. I wasn't even looking, I just felt numb, and warm dripping. I've felt it before and knew exactly what it was. I grabbed a roll of TP, which clots superbly by the way, and tied over the cut with 550 chord real tight. Blood was squirting everywhere! I've seen alot worse bites, i was just so amazed at the sharpness of that blade from teh factory.

Well, I've got a new way to injure yourself. I was opening a clam packed Gerber LMF II and I cut myself on a piece of sharp plastic. It wasn't very deep, but it was in a bad place(side of thumb between nail and thumb. I usually get cut with 1 out of every 3 knives I get.

Those clamshell plastic wrappers are a bitch. I can't count how many times I've lacerated myself on that crap.
