Thanks, did you notice the absence of a recurve on the black one?

I did indeed. What’s up with that? I thought it might have just went that way with sharpenings wearing it down. Custom blade?

Also noticed the scales weren’t nearly as chamfered on that one as they typically are from what I remember? Is it some kind of prototype?

As far as the square edged handle goes, I think it’s just an old model. The original Buck 110’s were like that also. My son in law removed the blade from the handle and ground it straight. It’s easier to sharpen now.
