Our Andi and my Otter!

R-D... the knife was about that sharp like you got, but I did a little play-around on the strop... ;) :D
The carbon steel is getting a really great edge... good HT, I think.

Your Soddie was very sharp as well, my friend :)

Man--wish that Otter Messer had better distribution in the 'states. Love the look of that one!

R-D - it might be rosewood, but I´m really not sure. The grain would be ok for rosewood (thinking about my Buck 110). Maybe it´s varnished in another color... However - I´m glad you like it that much, Rolf :)

@FTB: I´ve already realized, that Otter has not that representation in the US (as an old traditional german maker), but that´s propably politics... :(

I can get the "Black Cat" K55K's through one of my distributors, but they ONLY carry that knife in carbon and stainless--no other models. I've tried to get them to pick up more but they never write me back when I inquire about it. :(

Not to pick nits (mine is a genuine question): by this, do you mean they carry only the Black Cat K55Ks (in carbon and stainless), and no other Otter Messer knives?
