I get that well wishes are pouring in ... and nothing could make me happier than hearing that "Codger_64 has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."

He's doing much better according to his daughter, he's talking somewhat and they were getting ready to move him to a regular room. I've tried posting updates for 2 days now and the forum software has been fighting me at every turn.
 
Ted, you have done an admirable job of including us with your timely updates and great thanks are due to you, and to Jennifer, for your consideration and efforts.
 
The Old Codger lookin' better and a wee bit happier with his girls around him.

It didn't happen Ted. I am still in the hospital bed but maybe tomorrow I can go home. I'm about ready for a vacation I tell ya!
 
Codger- I'm glad to see you're back with us. I'm hoping you'll eventually get back in your canoe again. Until then, I'm looking forward to your opening 2016 paddling thread! Looking forward to more of your posts in the PA and in the outdoor forums!

(Those are very cute kids!)
 
Hospital delays and assorted procedures withstanding, I think I just got word from our buddy, he is on the way home, from the man himself.

Hope they let him out the door this time.

It took a lot of doing, but I am sitting at the table with the girls eating homemade chili, Jake laying at my feet. I am officially home again.
