What I find most appealing, is the fact that you get a lot for your money. Wether you loose, or damage one, you can replace it instantly. I also like the aesthetics, ofcourse.I don’t have one as they have never really appealed to me but it’s always neat to see a part of history and manufacturing. If I were there I’d definately take a tour!
I haven't seen it. You won't regret buying one! Thanks so much for sharing! This is exactly the kind of thing I like, the history of it all. Wonder if they still got that behemoth Mr.Opinel is holding in that pic your son is posing with. I got to get me one for sure.
You're welcome! I love that France has much more traditions en history when it comes to pocket knives. How different is it Holland were I have explain again and again, that a pocket knife is a tool instead of a "weapon". In France, almost every city, town, or village has a knife store where you can buy an Opinel, Laguiole, or Victorinox. My father is Italian and a as long as I can remember, he carried a pocket knife. I got mine when I was 9 or 10. (A very simple Victorinox Escort with my name engraved, which I lost unfortunately)

Graag gedaan/you're welcome!Hey mede-Nederlander!
Thanks for the tour! That's a museum worth visiting. Living in Holland as well I sure recognise the unjustified reactions on a pocket knife![]()
