Most times the pull tabs on envelopes and cans work pretty well. Sometimes they don’t, and then you need a knife. Not much a knife, but something with a sharp edge to cut it open.
That is exactly why I don't bother with " tear here " packaging anymore.
Too many times have I had candy and various snack foods wind up on the floor because the packaging didn't cooperate, so now I just cut everything open if I can.

Damn right. I always use a knife on snacks/chip bags/cereal bags. I got tired of ripping them to hell and having to blame the kids.

Those dry cereal bags can be a bit tough free hand to open. The tearing is also why I use sealable plastic containers for cereal after opening not to mention those damn little ants that we can't seem to get rid of inside the house. Fooood!!! Here they come!

I wonder which type of cans have a better or longer lasting seal? Key type or lift tabs?
