Our troll problem.

Guys if you will check BF's old posts and profile, or one of his others perhaps, don't recall just which one, you will see that he listed Switchblades among his possesions as well as him being interested in them.
Flint knapping came up as well.
I realize his present incarnation doesn't have anything in his profile confirming this, but I'm 100% sure that he is our troll back yet again.
And even if he isn't BF or his other incarnations he is still trolling and with an attitude at that. He doesn't deserve answers from us, period!!!!

If you have noticed I haven't posted to him and I'm not likely to. There's a few other suspicious names I am watching as well but I will keep them to myself, for now.

Another thing, ignoring our present troll's posts gets to him as in "how come y'all dont talk much", so the best thing to do is just to ignore those who displays our present troll's tendencies when they come in. Looks like Bill has maybe started this with our present troll so hopefully this too will pass soon.
Actually the best way to get rid of a troll is to ignore them as they crave attention no matter what kind.
Just like a dog that keeps screwing up so you will beat him again, any attention is better than none.:rolleyes:

And when the good folks are posting to him it is taking away from our fun time.
So let's just IGNORE the troll and go back to talking about khusk and thread drift/veer!!!!:D
 
Makes sense to me, though I humbly recommend that this thread be kept up for a day or two so that everyone can see it but then removed because otherwise it will act as fuel to his fire.
 
Ok, sorry to post so frequently on the same thread (bad netiquette and all that) but without wishing to sound like a twit, whats khusk?

See...had they been properly armed with WWII's they might have stood a better chance!

As is almost always the case I think that Yvsa is 100% correct and that everyone should follow his advice. I am not saying ignore new people but tread lightly and just stop feeding the trolls. Thanks Mark

I could not agree with you more. Although I do not tend to post much anyway. I usually wait until I have something to say that is worth you guys and gals seeing. No wonder I don't post often. I can hardly ever think of anything to say.

Ahem! Since that battle happened in 1880, and WWII didn't start until about 3 years later, the chances of them having that model of khuk are rather small! Maybe an 18th century...?
 
Trolls are best ignored - Yvsa is giving us good advice. Attention seekers crave attention, and I will not reply to one.
It is a mistake to waste our time with whiners.

If one has a dialup connection to the web, the IP address changes constantly. The IP will tell you nothing about someone's identity. I found out about variable IPs when I tried to arrange for access to a journal at home.

Thought it might help if everyone could see whay we're being the way we are so I'm posting the search results on BuraFan. Just because many of the posts were moved didn't mean they disappeared altogether.:)

Bruise here is the link without embedding it. I'm running on IE 6.0 and the one above worked for me. Don't know what's wrong. If it doesn't work you might try cutting and pasteing it into your "go" window.:)

Edit:
If it still fails all you have to do is go to the search button near the top of the page and type BuraFan in the poster box. Don't put anything into the subject box.
That's how I got all of the past threads to come up.
 
The Ignore List works very well for
-any- poster that you don't want to read
for whatever reason.

If someone is on your ignore list,
their post is blanked out with a link
that you can click if you should
want to read a particular post.

I went to Netscape and entered the link there and it didn't work.
But like I said, "All you have to do is go to the search button, type in BuraFan, exactly as spelled, and then click. I always just search the Himalayan Imports Forum when I'm doing a search for a post or posts that's on the forum, saves a lot of time.:D
