I’m a certifiable old guy. Sometimes, anymore, I go out with nothing more than the Rambler on my keychain. But, sometimes not. 😲

I'd just like to take this time to give a shoutout, a bow, or a few moments of silence to honor our "older" members here. I've been on and around other forums and honestly oftentimes it isn't the same. You guys "the oldies" provide a certain sustenance and perspective and wisdom that these young bucks don't have. Not necessarily their fault for their age but it is what it is. This also goes for "OG"s in the sense if you've been a member here over 5yrs or so. A totally arbitrary number but just wanted to take the time to say thanks for your contribution, input, and perspectives.

Despite what you make think, you might have a lot to teach and despite what we may think, we might have a lot to learn.

Perhaps this is more apt on Veteran's day but Cheers and thanks to you. ☕

Us old guys would go without underwear before we’d leave home without a knife.

Course nowadays, underwear can double as a facial diaper in some places.

If you want to put underwear on your face while streaking, that's totally your business. But I'm thinking that there are probably other websites that better cater to discussing your...um...personal hobbies...than a knife forum 😳

To Gilbert, thank you sir. And for all, This thread is worthless without pictures! So
left: when it’s not
right: when it is.

When I joined this forum, I had a creeping feeling that I was the sole young dude in a sea of OGs. I'm 25, probably on the younger side for this forum, and I love the auldies on the forum. They have the most real life experience, the best stories (shoutout to the cops on the general knife forums, love reading your experiences). I would love it if there was a "story" thread where folks in the forum could just relay various life occurrences and what they garnered from it.

About knives... I carry three on me usually, but my Winchester slipjoint is the most-used knife in my collection. I was comparing my Case Toothpick to my Spyderco PM2, and garnered two things: The PM2 is a SMALL knife, and I would be able to cut anything that needs cutting with just that Case knife, an Opinel, and Ontario SP1, however, I like the ability to have finer knives that please me! 😁

I like to carry everything from slipjoints to Espada XLs when I go a-ramblin' and a ramblin' on I go, and you can find me with both a lot of days!

uwf, I would have included more knife content in my previous post, but without any pockets I didn’t have a good place to put it.
