Out and About

I carry a White River Sendero Classic, whichever folder feels right that day, and a Leatherman Micra, all day, every day, ramblin, workin, whatever. When my pants go on, so do those knives. I've carried knives for more than 40 years, the Sendero is 'the one', and that's why I have two!

Just another certifiable old guy here. Like they say, 60 may be the new 40, but 9pm is the new midnight!

"OG" can mean , I suppose , simply " old guy" or maybe "original gangster" .

In either case , represents someone who has survived over time , while many others are gone .

Maybe just lucky , but just maybe having some extra savvy .

Maybe worthy of respect ...or not . ;)

Being a very old guy, I can tell ya, a whole lot of pure dumb luck is involved in getting there!!!! Looking back on it all, I cringe at some of the dumb stuff I did when young.

As a famous Space Cowboy once sais: "To old Gummers in space!"

That last line especially, I feel you there brother. Funniest part of that is, I even thought I knew stuff!!!! Lol.
Now I've learned just enough to realize that I don't know squat.lol.

Cheers to all the OG’s (Old Guys):thumbsup:

I think most of you guys are certifiable. They’re coming to take me away HA HA.

Rob47 had some good stuff. Keychain knives are just fine until you run into some folks who now think
you're a fine target. DO NOT leave your gun at home...
I always carry a folder and a gun. I keep a Victorinox super tinker in my med bag for the things the former aren't good for.

There's nothing wrong with getting old: just keep thinking young!

At what age does "Old" start?? 🤔
John :)

Its a complicated formula.

It starts when you first get up in the morning, and things hurt. Things you're broken in misguided youthful moments when you handed your beer to someone and said "Watch this!"

Or when you get on the crowded metro train and some young lady gets out of her seat and says "Here sir, take this seat."

Or when you and your better half go out to dinner and the waitress who looks like she's still in high school, gives you the senior discount menu.

Or when you know your doctor, be it a cardiologist, orthopedic, on a first name basis.

Or when younger people start holding the door for you at the Tractor Supply.

Or when you try to order a burger and fries at the drive in window at the bank.

Or when you need to have the subtitles on the TV because you can't tell what the hell these young actors are saying.

Or when you realize that you spend more time fishing/shooting/puttering in the workshop than you spent at work before you retired.

OR, when you stand in front of the tray of knives and it takes longer to pick out your carry of the day than decide what to wear for the day!
