Out of these five knives...

For my money? It's the Viper Ten all day long. None of the other knives interest me at all on that list. The Ten just seems special.

As far as smooth flippers go though, the only one I've spent any time with was the Buck. After breaking it in it flipped very well.

Of the five knives you've listed, I'd rank them this way...from smoothest flipping to least smooth.

1. BM300SN
2. Viper 10
3. Viper Keeper
4. Hogue EX02
5. Buck Vantage

Now, if you were to look at it from a standpoint of Flipper Enjoyment vs. $ spent, the Buck would probably win. For the price, the Buck is an amazing knife. Problem is, its not a great flipper out of the box and with Buck (or at least the Vantage) there are so many F&F problems you never know what you're going to get. I wouldn't buy the Buck unless I could hand pick the one I came home with.

If you want to consider some great flippers that you don't have on your list but in a similar price range, I can suggest the ZT0562, ZT0801, Kizer Ki423, The Reate Hills or Horizon. Any one of these I'd consider a better flipper than the 5 you posted.

Good luck and have fun!

I ended up with a Reate District 9-A and I love it!

I love the D9's I have, but they are a bit heavy. Keep your eyes out for a hills, they are smaller, but not tiny, and s35vn steel with Ti. scales, and flip like air. I did have to do a little tiny bit of cleaning of the inside and oiling on mine after I got it back from anodizing at bladeswelove, but once I did it is pretty much my smoothest flipper. I love all my Reate's. The ZT 0562 is also amazing and sounds perfect for your needs.

I don't have experience with any of these knives except for the Buck.

The 347 is a great EDC knife FOR THE MONEY. The blade format (blade/shape/grind) is excellent for everyday chores. Fit a finish is only OK and mine has a bad centering problem.. But if you want a smooth flipper stay away from this knife. It is a joke as a flipper. I've tried tweaking mine to no good results. This knife is put together with rivets so the only adjustment you can do to it is through the pivot screw. Is I loosen the pivot I get blade play opened and blade rubbing when closing. If I tighten the pivot the blade straightens and I loos the play on the open position but it won't flip.

You have a way around the flipping problem, open the knife with the hole on the blade. It is not perfect either (its to close to the scale) but serviceable. But then it is not a flipper anymore!

If you can stretch your budget, may I suggest a ZT 0770CF? Very smooth, light and can be very easily de-assisted if needed.
