All I can say is ... well, no, I can't say anything.

I'd love for Marcel to come over and repost the pics of the big dagger he acquired recently.

I can say something.....Walter is high on glue if he thinks that is a reasonable aftermarket on that knife....is is worth it? Maybe to the right collector...but there is only one(MIKE T.) that I can think of who might bite.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Dam STeven, You an I have agreed twice in one night. This and on the Moran folders. I feel a snow storm coming. ;) :)

That's an amazing knife :thumbup: but I totally agree with STeven that the price is well lets say a bit on the high side.:D

Let's hope that it will find a well deserving new home but alas that wil not be in my house.:grumpy:

Here is the dagger I showed a while back.

Steven, you hit the nail on the head! I would love to own that piece but 12k:jerkit: I never tried glue before but if sniffing it might make me think I could triple my money, I just might give it a try:p

Does anyone have Robs email or phone number. I'm trying to contact him about something else. Thanks,

Josh

I am not overly struck by the piece on Hoffmans site, Marcels is a much better offering in my mind.

I admire Robb Hudson the man, and I admire most of his work. All I like about this one is the incredible steel. And it appears incredible. The rest just doesn't do it for me at all.

Ouch. I don't like saying so. I wish Walter good fortune with it, though.

I love the knife, but I agree on the pricing comments. I agree with Don that the wood looks more like walnut than maple.

I also agree with the price comments

I do know that walnut was a favorite of Robs and he did use Turkish Walnut. I have never heard of "Turkish Maple"

It IS an incredible knife no doubt, but in my humble opinion the price is even more incredible. Not being in the same league as most of the collectors active on this forum, I have yet to see a knife offered by Mr. Hoffman at a tempting price.

I have often seen many knives listed by him on the Knife Network classified section. He certainly has an impressive collection.

Peter - I think some dealers can basically name their price (within limits) because they have stuff which is just unavailable anywhere else. I suspect this piece will sell.
