 You make me look like a guy who camps out for concert tickets. If I inflated the resold blem prices would I be HI's first scalper? :D

Have a good surgery.

Ben, Remember what I told u about u/r quality of life,It will be alot better off.I had mine done when I was 40 year old. 2001.So hang in there Ben.Do what they tell u and u will be up and around in two months. The first 2 days will be rough.Use that Demerol at first and get better.;)

Frank makes a good point: Pain is NOT therapeutic. Use the d*mned drugs, don't be a hero. And Bruise will be camping out in front of a ticket office for you. He promised.:)

Thanks for the great well wishes...and laughs. Just what I needed this week. No matter how upbeat I try to be, there's still an edge of anxiety; which is to be expected, I guess. But what new adventure doesn't come with a little anxiety? ;) Well, off for some preop tests. Take care.

Ben-- Good luck with your surgery! We'll reserve your spot at the Cantina;)

Wishing you a speedy recovery,
--Josh

Smoke already on the waty this

BTW - be sure and pack some heat with you. It can help emphaize the point that your NO really means NO WAY IN ----! Some times docs think they can over-ride your choices.

Rusty, I know what you mean. I have a last meeting with the surgeon this Wednesday....I'm taking backup---I mean witnesses. I want to be REALLY CLEAR on every point. Especially the part where he said I can keep the old hip bone. "I have this special Bilton...really different handle.":D "I think it's bone, but I'm not sure what kind.";)

Ben if you get to keep the bone you will have to cure it. You need to boil it. I would suggest with some carrots, potatoes and onions, hey no sense in letting good marrow go to waste.;) After all you can share it with your friends and family and they can "Grok" you early.;) :D
After it's boiled and dried out the best it can be inside the next step is to take it outside and set it on an ant hill.
You will probably need to put a heavy weight on top of the milk carton or other breathable cover you put over it to keep any animals away from it.
After the ants finish cleaning it up and it ages outside it should be fit for a kukri handle.:D
That's the way I do any fresh bones I get anyway. Some of them are best boiled outside ifen they ain't happenin to be to fresh ya know.:D  :barf:

You'll be good as new, if not better!
I'm pretty positive after the recovery, you'll kick yourself for not doing this sooner. Hopefully, it won't take you long to get back :)
