and while I love the knife, the edge is rather obtuse and very dull. Is this how they normally come? All my other Kershaw knives have been really sharp.

On a good note, sounds like you got a bum edge..... Send it in for a sharpening... Although i don't own that knife, i don't see it being entirely normal.... If you have a sharpener , it sounds like your all set... Sometimes knives come a bit dull from any company....

I had traded for one & I remember the previous owner commenting on that it wasn't "that" sharp. It might be because of the size, I don't know.
