What belt do you wear when you are out in the woods?

My usual go-to has been some no-name web belt that came with a pair of jeans. It does the trick, but I'd like to find better.

The Wilderness Instructors belt. http://www.thewilderness.com/index.php?p=product&id=2309&parent=142
Had it for 10 years now, wear it nearly every day. Just now starting to see some velcro wear, so I'll be picking up another one in the near future. for $40, you can't go wrong.

I bought one of these. Nice and non-slip to hold up your pants but difficult to carry a knife sheath or belt pack because the two layers of belt plus two layers of velcro make it thick. I had to wear it backwards (pull belt to the left side with knife on the right side) but then you have to take off the belt to get the knife or belt pack off.

I bought a similar one without velcro at REI with thick, coarse, stiff webbing and similar buckle that I prefer.

And, of course, there's always Slatts Rescue Belt.

Never really paid attention to what belt I wear. Lately, though, whether out on the trail or on the streets casually, it's been one of these amish belts made for Hanks clothing. Really sturdy built belt old school leather craft with a replaceable/changeable buckle.

Mine just arrived yesterday. It's a good solid belt for everyday wear. It's marketed as a gun belt, but I don't think it's quite stiff enough for OWB carry.

I got a deal on one of those 1.5" Blackhawk Riggers belts. At first I didn't think I would like it, but now, its all I wear for work or woods wear. Really stiff, easy to hang a holster off of, not quite as easy for a knife sheath though. Plus, I could always rappell down if I got stuck somewhere, using just my belt and my shoelaces!

I applied some neutral colored Kiwi shoe polish on mine and it seems to have been nourished to a nicer shine and tad more flexibility. I felt the belt was "dry" when it arrived to me. Just a way of taking a small step to prolonging the life of the belt. Great value for a Made in US product... even more so when on sale like they are now.

this is mine I have replaced the belt many times
but the buckle has been with me everywhere I have been for the past16 years it reminds me of home and probably 1 thing that I will never part with

Been thinking though about one of the northwest bushcraft belts though..classy with a saw blade sown in the back..pretty ingenious.

Another vote for the wilderness belt..like the plastic loop versions too.

Yeah, plastic is probably better in a lot of ways. I'll likely never find the need to rappel off of mine, so the plastic would save a few ounces. Too bad they didn't have that back when I bought my original belt.

Same belt I wear everywhere else...

Filson double thickness belt. Bomb proof.

Filson. Simple & very well made.

But it's the same belt I wear everywhere. It's not like I change belts to go outdoors.

Patagonia Friction Belt. Light, strong, simple, thin, unobtrusive. ~$10 on sale(overpriced at $20+, otherwise).
It's a belt. Its sole purpose is keeping a pack from pushing down the waistband of my pants, so there doesn't need to be anything fancy about it.
