This is the first of a run of full tang outdoorsman hatchets that I will be offering. Made for chopping wood, or delimbing branches. This was the test hatchet, and it turned out well.
The steel is 1/4" 1075 steel, triple normalized, and heat treated to a 57- 58 HRC goal. The tang has been spring tempered with a torch.
The overall length is 14", with a 3" cutting edge. This one is sporting black linen micarta handle with stainless pins. Comes with a leather edge cover.
The steel has been given a satin finish. This is a working tool, so the satin finish isn't perfect.
