outdoorsman's edc for the next year!

I was raised on a farm. Get a Spyderco salt 1 & put the rest of the money toward other gear.

Or,you can get a Buck custom shop 110 in S30V and a handle of your choice.Buck does some of the best S30V around. It's a 100% USA made.

benchmade 710 with m390, benchmade 810, spyderco military etc.... i want to know which one will fit my needs best

Get the one you like the best out of the list you already got in your head. Its just huntin and fishin, and that job has been done for millenia with sharpened rocks. So your main priority (as I am understanding it) is that you really DIG the knife since you have to carry it for a good spell, all your other criteria building on that. Given that I might even choose it more for the things youll do daily in EDC as any sharp knife will dress a deer or clean a fish (within reason of course...Id hate to gut a marlin with a case sodbuster....:D)

I would personally ,If I was choosing a folder ONLY for this job, go with something with a semi open design if I could , so you could flush it out.

Sorry cant be of more real help, Im a fan of fixed scandi blades for outdoor jobs. I use a kellam puukko and a birch handled jarvenpaa. Which frankly will field dress circles around any of the ones being discussed so far LOL. But like I said.......Sharp rocks.;)

i think im just going with the plane jane military. it will be the best to work with gloves i think. and i have been carrying an axis lock knife since february so i kind of want a change from that lock design. i also have a lot of confidence with how many people on this forum have carried their military for years. i have seen posts where guys said they carried their military for 5 or 6 years. i dont think i can ever do that but i hope it will keep my happy for a year

thanks a lot guys!
