Luckily I was spared from any shark bites...lucky for them because I was armed!




Driving on the beach in Corova was the best time we had the whole week...

The wild ponies were far from elusive...

Duck Donuts...yeah! Get ya some!!! Made hot and fresh to order.
That's right, maple bacon...the chocolate bacon didn't last long enough for the camera...

This Mahi Mahi wrapped in lemon and onions was so good, I totally forgot to get an after pic...you shoulda seen the in-laws face who thought that was squash and shoved a handful in her mouth, haha! Who'd wrap fish in squash??

This was huge, filled the entire window at the gas station. False advertising...well, they had biscuits...

Speaking of biscuits...I found where Guyon shops...

Saved the best for last!
 
One of the best threads recently! I hate beaches personally, but that looks alright. You picked up a pimp Biscuit hat, right?

I was checking out and my wife looked at the hat, then at me and said "Really?".
I just shrugged.
The cashier looked at her, then at me, suddenly he snatched the hat from the counter and said
"Yo pimp hand ain't strong enough fo' this lid, Son!".
My wife looked at him, then at me and said "Really?".
I just shrugged, and we walked out...

Thanks Jerry! She's been a blast! Already put 4k on her about 2 months and I don't even drive it to work. We've already had many great memories in the short time I've had it. Best vehicle purchase I've ever made in that regard. This I left out of the OP but feel its appropriate now...

Thanks guys! I knew something was special when I opened that box of Donuts lol. They've expanded from their original store in Duck to other cities in NC,VA, DE, and NJ.
I'm getting too old for pimpin...celebrated our 20th anniversary in June so that ain't happening lol.

I love the Outer Banks and have enjoyed good fishing from Pirate's Cove as well as fond landings at Manteo/Dare County Airport a.k.a. MQI.

BTW: Silver Jeep with black soft-top may be my next vehicle purchase; good choice!
 
I got married there a year ago on Wednesday, with my Necker in my pocket. The Outerbanks are so awesome. I wanted to explore the Alligator Riger wildlife refuge but didn't get the chance.
