It was a free Umfaan -- KIDDING! Seeing as how only one actual BF member showed up at 10 am on Saturday, I should let it be his secret.
Chris had some special leather coasters made up that had our logo and the 30th Blade Show insignia.

It was a shame noone showed up but at least I got you all to my self for a while. :p

It was great to meet Chris, you and all the CRK crew, it really added to the superb time at the show.

Wish I had read this post before Blade...
Would have introduced myself but very happy with my Seb and tks for the T-Shirt.
Pretty sure you helped my with my purchase (Lrg Sebz, Insignio blade with Micarta inlay). Anyway, it was good to meet the CRK team at the show!

Ok now for the rest of the story sorry it been a long week , while at Blade on Sat
they had a necklace on display that my wife was in love with however she was concerned that the length was a bit short .
She ask Anne to see the necklace . Anne proceeded to tell her the details of the jewelry and ask my wife if she would like to go take a look in the mirror in the restroom( unaccompanied by anyone from CRK ) Keep in mind this is a piece that is handmade by the man himself . Beautiful pieces that are truly unique in themselves . Found this a very high quality of artwork as well as trust and faith they place in their customers .
To add to this great customer service and hospitality .. I had my 15 year old son with me as well . While visiting the booth looking at this piece of artwork with my wife my son noticed that Chris Reeves son had a Kendama
( a Chinese toy ) very popular among the teenage population . My son began to speak to him about the Kendama and the he began to tell us the story of him making this particular Kendama he had in his fathers shop . They stood for what seemed to be hours talking about this love they both had for these Kemdama's .
My wife made comment of a particular booth we stopped by where the knife maker never acknowledged we were even there but this is something you can NOT say about CRK . They really made us feel like family !! Thanks CRK !!

Since I had no idea how to display my screen-name, I didn't aproach the booth then. Sorry, now I know I should have.
Also I didn't wanted to interrupt people talking with Chris himself.
As a first-timer to BLADE I was a bit overwhlemed by the size of the show. Saturday was my first day.
I did approach the booth later and talked to Mr Reeve junior (OK, I know you are full grown) and talked to him wich I enjoyed very much.
I got the little handout and the newsletter, which I keep alongside my knives in my collection.
Maybe the next time, although it was a pretty long flight from Europe.

Greeetings,

red mag

I Also wish I had seen this post prior to blade....I was SO over whelmed at my first time at blade my written plan which had all my must stop at booths went out the window..running around like a madman (or a small child at disney world lol) I stopped by the booth but did not want to interupt while people were talking, My large sebenza 21 is on of my favorite folders and simply would have just said "thank you for making a great product"

Guess that can be done here...next year I promise to actually stop to talk :) J

Hi Heather.

My Micarta Sebenza Insigno arrived on time and is perfect, thanks.

I have a question for you when you are next logged on and have some time, namely, what knives do those who work for Chris Reeve Knives carry?

What's your favorite?

Thanks!

I could tell you what Heather has, she got a very cool wee knife at Blade.:thumbup:

Ah Haze - do you mean my custom Grant and Gavin Hawk -- Bling Ring? (My name not theirs.) LOVE IT!
As for what those at CRK carry, what don't we carry? Umnumzaan, large and small Sebenza, Mnandi, a couple have Ti-Locks. Personally, I have a wonderful small regular Sebenza (well two) one has a blue Celtic design and the other is the sign of Libra with an inlaid opal cabochon. I have a damascus blade but use my S30V as a daily carry. I highly recommend the micarta inlaid -- got my dad one for his birthday. It's like working at an ice cream store; the longer you are there the more flavors you sample.

Funny you say that. I worked at an ice cream factory and made all the ice cream myself. It was awesome, I know the feeling. :D

That small Regular Sebenza with a blue Celtic design sounds interesting.

I think a custom order to CRK may be in my future. :)

Not sure if I have access to posting pics and if I do not sure how. Help if you want to see the family.

if you have pictures of them on your computer you can email them to me and i will post them for you.

Thanks for giving us this little glimpse inside the shop, Heather. I really like that Celtic design Seb. And that pretty little bling ring looks deceptively benign.
