oven controls

Guys,
I'm tired of the on/off controller on my heat treating oven. I'm wanting to go to a ramp/soak controller. I'd like something I can just inter the parameters and go rather than one I'd have to program. Suggestions with pro and con would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Evenheat makes a "TAP" controller with a touch screen that's pretty user friendly from what I understand. You do have to build your own programs if I'm not mistaken, but once they are set, I believe it's just a matter of selecting the one you want from your list and hitting go.

JTknives built an oven that uses this controller, and could give more insight.

Yes everything above is true of the Evenheat TAP controller.

You do have to input all the parameters into each specific program but once you've done it, it'll be saved and very simple to run each time

It's also easy to make adjustments to your program. Say you want to add 5 minutes to your soak time. It's quick and easy to do in just a couple clicks. Well, there aren't any actual clicks because it's all touch screen but you get what I mean

There is a bit of a learning curve at first but once you programmed it one time, you'll have it down.

I will say that there is a bit of a gremlin in my screen. Every once in a while it won't recognize that I'm touching the screen.

After a while it'll go through a calibration process where I have to touch it at different areas of the screen. This always fixes the issue but I'd prefer not having it in the first place
