I got distracted and let a small blade get about 100 degrees over heat yesterday (manually controlled kiln). I finished it out, got a good hard blade that skated a file, and tempered at 450. My questions are, what kind of damage did I do to the blade, and what if anything can be done to salvage a blade that has been over heated? The blade was coated with anti-scale compound.
Thanks.
