Over Pricing Mall Sharks!

Found this one at the local mall a few weeks ago for $99.00 ;)

Hey Phil000, Savson knives is ten minutes from your house. He will be opening a retail store front very soon:D

I've had good luck with the Malls and local stores in Golden, Colorado. Oh yea, the SFO is just up the street

with this info in hand, I sent them an email asking if they needed an overhire person for the holiday rush...I hope they say yes, I am open to being paid in a combination of knives :)

Thanks steel

I'm in the Bay Area where I'm close to 2 stores. One of them is over priced, but I'm concerned about it, I just go there every so often to play with the knives and chat with the employees. I like to go in and point at knives that I want to see, then after they start to educate me on knives, I start naming the models, asking about locks and steels until they eventually start asking me about the knives.

The other store is very Tad Geary like. In fact it is Tad Gear. I can't complain there. A store with BF members for employees who know knives and take care of customers- I couldn't ask for more. Wait a mnute, I could ask New Graham to move closer.

WOW, what I would give to live right down the road from Spyderco! If the moderators are supposedly not fond of the 'jerkit' smiley.....why is it there in the first place? I'm grateful to have a store that has a knife display I can look at and handle knives at. Even though the selection sucks. That was my first time stopping in. I stopped in out of curiosity. No need to defend the local business man. That shop was nowhere near competitive with anyone. I feel sorry for the people who buy the knives at such high prices. I'd be quite displeased if I were to buy at such a store, and then find out that I could have had the same knife for considerably less. I'm also fortunate enough however, to have a gun and knife show come to town at least twice a year. THOSE merchants know how to compete....they carry large selections, and price competitively...usually. It's a shame there is not an actual locally owned knife shop here. I don't consider rented space in a tourist attraction mall a legit shop. It's only a step or two above the kiosks out in the middle of the walking space with the overly enthusiastic college kids trying way to hard to sell you stuff you don't need. Anyway guys, have a great weekend.

Luckily for me, I found a local sporting goods store that carries BM's for a little more or around the same price as online. Maybe I will open my shop someday.

Phil....nice photo of that "Rhino Horn" Lil' Temp....both the knife and photo are real handsome !

-Best
