Howdy y'all!

This knife began its life as an off cut. Someone sent me a slab of CPM 3V years ago, and I made kind of a chopper type blade out of it which was never finished, (at least not yet). The remaining piece I held on to, because that's how I do, and it really could only be used for a folding knife in terms of its size.

Well, that off cut's day has come and it's now a knife. A ridiculous, overbuilt, thicc, heavy knife! The kind of folding knife that needs a pouch for carrying it, since it's too big and too heavy for pocket carry.

This is my second attempt at a folding knife, and despite its ridiculous proportions the tolerances are tight and the action is smooth. Lockup is super solid.

The pivot and stop pin are .25", from the wonderful Alpha Knife Supply Alpha Knife Supply . Titanium is 6Al4V, scales are carbon fiber and the fasteners are 7075 aluminum with hard anodizing. The blade rides on bronze washers.

I'll be revisiting this thread with more info- I still need to finish the sheath and clean up the knife a little bit but for some reason it feels important to post this up before the month officially ends. I'm weird like that, and in so many other ways as well, lol.

Thank you so much for checking out my thread :)

Freaking awesome. Period.

If this was a fixed blade…ooo la la!!!

There is so much to like here.

That's a beastly folder! Like it.
In hand...it feels, em, well...big. So glad you like it!

Thanks Coleman! Fixed blade, eh? More on that later...
ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY SICK!!!!!!!!!!

Nice Flippin' Job!!!!
Thank you, turned out not too bad coming from a scrap piece of steel. It is ridiculous, though.
You’re full of surprises….awesome!

:D
Definitely trying out a lot of new things- thanks!
That is really nice.
🙌
O'F.U.C.K. ...that's awesome!😍
Oh my God! Is that the acronym?! I'm shocked and chagrined! Totally by accident...that is a total freak coincidence as I would never dare utter a cuss word so vulgar as that. It would take an unwashed heathen such as yourself to see the devil's work so clearly😆

🤣

Only you could take a monster folder the size of a Cold Steel Max Scout and make it look lively and stabby! Be careful taking it to Blade- you might be getting orders for a niche market.
thank you. We'll see what happens!
It's BiiiiiiG!
But looks in proportion😎 so well done mate!
I generally like folding knives which have as much blade in that handle as safely possible
I think I want one in green canvas😜!
I almost used natural canvas, but I saw this sheet of carbon fiber and knew it had to be that for this one. Down the road? Who knows?

Here's the fixed blade version;

I was intending to ask if you could baton with it. I see now from the video that you surely can! :D
YIKES what a knife.

BTW - The belt sheath needs an extra pouch for the tools. AND - what is that hole in the thumb hollow for?

Awesome!!!

If I win a lottery any time soon or find a bag of gold on one of my walks, I'll want to grab that for sure. :)
Very nicely done.

Batoning isn't out of the question, the knife could handle it, but the swedge will eat the baton up pretty quick. The hole will accept a split ring or somesuch so that you can tie a forward lanyard to it
Awesome!!!

I appreciate that, man! I hope you find a bag of gold on one of your walks, regardless of what you decide to spend it on. Bags of gold are the best!
