Hehe, I mentioned to my gal that folks here were more excited about her than my blades! She has rather enjoyed the compliments, to be sure. She's a lot of fun camping and not afraid to get a little dirty (though I try to bring lots of things to ease the transition from city to woods). I think she'll have a lot more fun when we get to go in cooler temperatures.
Here's more of the good stuff:
What kind of girl enjoys SAR-3's, 1911s and camping? This one.
As for the Tora, they are actually more popularly known for the khuks than for their smaller fixed blades.

I'm not sure if that's their 'main' website, but it's one of them I think. I believe the steel is carbon, and it holds an edge really well. I sent the blade recently to a very nice gentleman who fixed it up with a good convex edge and thinned the bevel for me. It cuts amazingly well now and is my favorite bush knife.
Fiddleback- I've really enjoyed trying to abuse this blade! I got to do a LOT of whittling this afternoon with one of those cedar hunks, just trying to get a feel for the blade. It does a better job with fine woodwork than my Mora 510 does. It sliced smoother and cut larger chunks than the 510, and I think it actually caused less hand fatigue. I also was pleased with how well it stood up to batoning, and even light 'chopping'.
