Always good to get out for an over nighter. I don't recall where Kisatchie National Forest is located. The timber is not very large and obviously was logged not too long ago in the first picture. But national forests are managed forests.

Close to Alexandria, Louisiana. The first section we entered into was a site that had logging going on during the week, I believe. There were hazard signs posted at the trailhead and another sign when we left the area into another section.

Awesome camp site. Thanks for,the pics. I'm taking my boy to a national forest in Ohio this weekend. I'm pretty stoked

Made a trip down there to overnight the Wild Azalea Trail with a friend from NOLA this spring. Really enjoyed camping at Valentine Lake(beautiful spot!) the night we arrived, and "discovering" Camp Claiborne when staging vehicles, since I was a paratrooper.

Great pics, looks like a fun trip. beautiful surroundings.
Love that big firepit! :D
