i really like the look of the maxpedition gear (primarily the Falcon II), but i'm worried it won't be big enough for overnight trips outdoors. any suggestions?

how do you overnight hike? do you bring a ton of gear? is your backpacking or camping gear for just you?

Really depends on the local climate and how much gear you carry. If you're carrying a bulky jacket/bedding, etc then you're going to need a little more space.

The Falcon is definately pushing the lighter edge of how much you can carry for overnight trips. If you're somewhere temperate and your shelter consists of minimalist gear (blanket and tarp), you would probably be okay. If you plan on carrying a tent, sleeping bag, cooking gear, and so on, you will definately find yourself without enough pack.

I have a Falcon Pygmy and it's a well built pack, but I don't consider it anything more than a daypack.
