Great pictures and looks to be a great time....
I'd like to suggest making a photo album of all your outtings like this ,for him to flip thru and recall the good times
 
I think I have that same tent for when we go on float trips... Love the fire pit.

I have a Jeep tent that has several of them small vents. Yes they are vents, Jeep calls them vortex or cyclone vents. Supposed to pull the cool air in, forcing the hot air up and out.

You went car camping and brought ramen noodles?! Half the fun of car camping is the eating and drinking! Where's the cheeseburgers, the steak, the beer?! Save the ramen for when you're suffering through a backpacking trip.:barf:
 
lol....we just wanted a quick n dirty meal. and i wanted to test out my new German army mess kit... i had 1 beer...didnt want to load up on the alcohol since i had the lil man w/ me :)
 
Man thats great. Glad you guys had a good time. The fire pit is awesome. im going to hunt some washing machines sitting out for trash now. where was the geetar and the breakfast pics. ?? slacker. ;)
