hey guys! just came home from an 3,5 mile overnighter in the woods up here in norway and thought i had to share some pics with you all.

Dang it's sweet outside when spring hits! gotta love it!
i realized, sitting around the campfire, that im realy lucky! i have a big wilderness that i can roam around in, and i'm in good enough shape too actualy enjoy and walk about in it!

on the way up to where we made camp, i took some pickies of norwegian nature, bad thing about this place was that there where too many small swamp/marshes littered around, making it wet too hike.

and our camp, with my fiance Emma

and an early morning shot of the camp, with emma again :P

an hour after we made camp, it started to rain, tho it only rained for maby half an hour. and after the rain comes the rainbow :D a double one actualy if you look close

some “shiny” pictures of the still lake and surroundings, love these!

this morning i woke up early, and had time to start a fire and to make breakfast. Women love to be served, don't they!

supprise shot of Emma in her sleeping bag

me making breakfast! yum!

breakfast of champs! Damn eggs & bacon taste good outdoors!

all packed up and ready to go home! not an ultralite hike tho :)

on the way home i stepped on this little guy by accident, but he had lost his tale some other time. not my fault :P, i thought that kind of lizard lived in lakes, this one was under some leaves in a small hill.

we also came over this funny sign. almost in the middle of the woods, near some cabins.

hehe, very funny, considering i'm in Norway...were many people think that polarbears walk around in the streets :P

and for last, the mandatory knife/gear porn:

actualy a "premiere" of my newest tinkering, the re-handeling of my Spyderco forager, now with (self foraged) norwegian oak handles, with red liners.

and the sharp gear we brought along, mind you 75% if it is mine, just to have something to play with :P

from top to bottom: fiances brusletto hunter, my modified salt1, my delica 4, my forager, my Gossman psk, fiances axe, my spydersaw, fiances Spin and finaly my CS beater machete.

a lovely hike in fine weather with good food and company. what more can a bloke ask for?

Falch,

Great pics Bro!!! Looks like a great time. I really like that Spyderco of yours, nice job:thumbup::thumbup:.

Excellent pics. It looks beautiful there! Great job on that new handle too, it looks perfect.

Really nice pics. How do Norwegian crocodile eggs taste, anyhow?

also, love the handle on the chopper!

Nice pics bro, that breakfast looks awesome!! Real nice job on that spydie, it looks great, I like it!!

oh! almost forgot! i almost chopped off the tip of my thumb of also! :D
was chopping along, splitting firewood, when i was a little dumb, i held the piece of wood a little too close to where i was chopping, and shabam!
Suck at both macro shots and the us measuring system, anyho, i almsot lost 1cm of the thumb, thank god we have fingernails (pun intended). the thumb was sideways, and the cut went straight down, pickie, but thankfully it stopped in the fingernail ( 5mm into it) :D

now i know i aint gonna do that again...yeah right!

oh, and thanks for all the kind words about the spyder *bow*

Hey Falch,

Thanks for the great pictures. The place looks very much like the north country where I live. There is one thing though.....................

and the sharp gear we brought along, mind you 75% if it is mine, just to have something to play with :P

Son, I think we have to have a talk..............................

I was referring to the misses! :D

BTW, latitude here is 43 degrees, 13.675N (GPS laying beside the computer) and the country I was referring to is a couple of hundred km north of here.
