So I thought I would post my GEC White Owl that I purchased last month. I had posted earlier about my frustration with the uneven bevel on the knife. Well Richard J, here on the forum, set me up with a nice job of reprofiling and this little beauty has been jumping into my pocket more than my other knives. This past week I did a little food prep, cutting onions and potatoes. As you can see the pantina is coming along nicely.

If it weren't for this sub-forum, I would not have known about this model of knife, I would not have known the best way to get the edge fixed and I would not have known that onions give a nice purple-blue pantina. Thanks for all of the info. Enjoy

There ya go.

I'm sorry yours had problems out of the box tube, but am glad you were given good direction, bore with it and brought things to a happy conclusion-- or beginning, as the case may be.

Thanks for the pictures and update.

Glad the edge is fixed and it's looking good! Cut lots of onions, meat, citrus fruit, bananas and that color will only get better and better.

cheers,

Kevin
