Own it, Never use it, Still keepin it !

I have a Chris Reeve 5.5 Yarborough Knife that i have never used for much of anything. I guess I just can't see messing up a $350 knife when my beat up $40 SRK is the same size and does everything just as well or better. Eventually I will probably sell it. I've got a CS Recon Tanto that I just can't find a practical use for...I'd also like to get rid of that. Most of my other Non-users are antiques with historical value or collector pieces I've been given as gifts. I do have a bevy of folders that have been EDCed and retired due to wear or just a change in taste, but that doesn't really count.

That "multiple GF thing" will prove to be not only way more expensive but also, highly detrimental to your health!:D
Detrimental?!?! If any of them find out about the others, it could be fatal!!

Anyone else own knives (other than collectables) that you never use but refuse to part with? Here's mine:

Kershaw Rainbow Leek - To damn pretty
Boker Trapperliner in Stag - Nice stag I can't bear to mess up
BM 2550 Auto - Had to have an auto in the collection right?
Ontario SP10 "Marine Raider" - Just like a BIG knife I guess

Anyone sharing my sickness?

I have one of those Linder kris daggers. Other than some bayonets I have I carry every knife I own. or more accurately have carried. Some I discovered just weren't practical for general purposes. I have a Microtech Kestrel that kind of fits that bill. My Kershaw Talon is another one. They are both excellent knives but are of a blade design that is impractical for common tasks. They excell at ripping open boxes and when I did a lot of that at work they were carried daily.

But get rid of a good knife? Talk like that will get you thrown out of the he-man woman haters club.

I don't use the knives that are hard to get or limited in supply. This means a lot of customs done by popular makers. That's the strange thing in this pursuit. Chasing down popular knives for the thrill of the hunt. Then having second thoughts about using them. Using something means a little bit of it goes away with each sharpening ... Nice to know I've got a small stable of knives that gets used the way the makers intended them to be.

BM 910s in the safe.Look at it about once every six months but just can't bear to rotate it into my EDC.My kids will probably throw it out once I'm dead.tom.
