Owners of Larry Davidson knives?

I own the first SE D/A that he made.Had my hands on it for two minutes and had to have it.Nice stuff and it works well.
 
I have a manual SE, that DA tactical is going to be extremely sweet...wouldn't mind having that one at all.

I carry a Larry Chew Covert D/A, and when my wife saw the Kokopelli D/A on TAD's forum, and saw it looked alot like my Chew, she wanted it to match. Then when we went to pick it up, and saw it was smaller, and fit her hand perfectly she was thrilled. She really likes the 440-V blade, and smoothness of the Larry Chew Voodoo needle bearing action. I been wanting to get her a real good custom D/A, and the Larry Davidson Kokopelli fit the bill PERFECTLY!!!!!

Hope you are as happy when you get yours as my wife is with hers. Of all her customs, and production knives, this has become her favorite.

The knife is rock-solid, and is very well-made. You will see just how sturdy a piece it is when you open and close that puppy (a few hundred times! ;) ) I couldn't be happier. Here's a post that Larry did about my knife in particular:

Had a nice early SE that's getting the D/A treatment about now...I don't have the knife but I do have a new pal whose grimey paw I look forward to shaking one day :D
 
I just bought a Larry Davidson intregal lock from Les at the N.Y. show.For $375 I think it was an excellent value.The action is super smooth thanks to Chews Voodoo pivot.Fit and finish seem very good.I like his slanted style thumb stud.
 
I am more of a carry what you got kinda guy so my experience with LD's work in my pocket is strictly manuals. I carry the prototype integral "pimp" knife that Robb has and the upscale version of the LD avenger. Both are solid and very well made. His D/A's are better than any other I have tried out bar none. They kick like hell and lock up tight. Wait till the 4" D/A comes outta his shop...Schweet!

I have the first DOUBLE TROUBLE SE D/A from LARRY D!! It has the best fit and finish of all my customs!!!!! Ferret was nice enough to sell me his strecth lefty that is having a full face lift just about now. I have a couple more on order, I am really looking foward to a double bolster SE with PRESENTAION pearl scales. One thing is for sure LARRY is a CLASS ACT ;)

Im getting the first 4in SE DA Larry has built next week. All tacticaled out. (Yes I know tacticaled is not a word). Hopefully he will post some pics before he ships it:cool: :)
 
Damnit Brandon, that's going to make me want a 4" for sure! :)

That's what we need here; more pics! C'mon guys, post some Larry Davidson Eye Candy to keep me sane while I wait for my tactical. :)
 
I have the 3rd folder that he made and knew then that he
would be a serious maker in a short time.
As he is just across town he has helped me a great deal in
my short knife making career and am glad to call him a friend.

Ahem, I think my lefty was the first 4" SE, with a slimmed down handle, so mebbe Starky's will be first = D/A ;)
 
:) In an email I received from Larry two days ago he informed me that mine (along with the other one he cut parts for) are the 1st 4 in SEs he has built. Maybe he can clarify some of this.;)
