Oy Vey! blade stain

Well, first up, can't thank you all for your personal recommendations. They were so good and spot on. But when Ed Fowler chimed in and recommended Wenol I went right out to my hardware store and grabbed a tube.

It worked great. Still has a little shadow of an outlined area but I'm sure that will come off with a bit more elbow grease. Now it's back to that glorious finish and I might even consider that martini with a "twist" to celebrate tonight.

On top of that to get another note from Ed to send it back to him so he can clean it up for me, well, I felt like i did when I bought my first GM car years and years ago; they had my back.

So thanks again to all, as I now have lemon juice, Flitz, Wenol, a drumel tool, pomel stone with WD 40 all under the sink. And Ed, my sheath looks like your old rifle and that sheep horn handle has the patina of one of my molars but my blade still retains that great finish and edge. Love this knife, love this site. Thanks again Ed for the offer. El Cadiz

Well, first up, thanks to all for your great feedback. But when Ed Fowler checked in and suggested Wenol I went right out and bought a tube. Son a gun, worked great and all that remains is a faint shadow outline on one spot that I know can get out with a bit more elbow work.

In fact, I'm going to have martini with a 'twist' tonight just to celebrate.

Plus, under the sink I now how Flitz, a dremel tool, lemon juice, wd 40 and an emery stone. I feel prepared for my next newbie error.

But Ed, you love to know that my sheath looks like your old rifle and my sheep horn handle has a patina like one of my molars. But my blade is back to that fabulous finish. When you returned to the thread and suggested I send the knife back to you for a clean up at no charge, well, I felt like I did when I first bought a GM car many years ago: you had my back brother.
