Oyster Knives ready for the Show

Stacy,
I am curious about the macademia wood. Does it have to be quartersawn to show the flecks like with sycamore?

Mark, Stacey may be able to tell better, but the rays radiate very uniformly and straight from the pith out. The flat sawn face or any rift sawn side will show flects. Only a cut closely along the length of the rays (quarter sawn) will show the longer pattern like on the middle pic of Stacy's Mac knives.

Hope that helps, Craig

Yes, depending on the cut, I can get two entirely differen looking handles.
Others like that are Sycamore, Beefwood, Lacewood, and She-oak.
