Hi all. What holds the blade closed on the P-Mil? Is it the comp. lock or is there a detent ball inside? Also, what type of SS are the liners made of? Danke.

Where are ya Deacon?

The blade is kept closed by the comp lock. It engages a small amount into a groove that is cut into the tang of the blade.

Sorry, can't help with the other question.

Thanks. I was not sure at first about the compression lock but I like it now!

The compression lock lock moves just slightly across a milled out section of the tang. I've never taken it apart, but that seems to be it. Don't know what kind of stainless the liners are, but they're partial liners and embedded in the G10. It's an elegantly designed knife. Light. Solid. Practical.

sffar,
Thanks for the reply. I can't believe this P-Mil. sat in my drawer for a year! I'm gonna make it up to that knife--right now. Later.

Lycosa,
It is waste to let it sit too long, but the thing is, there are many terrific knives! Just gotta carry two, and rotate 'em! A couple in the car . . one here, one there. Ha!
I carried my Para today! Bought it from a Forum member in Singapore, and it's perfect. Diggin' that Para! I give it a ten.
