Howdy folks, this guy has been repeatedly emailing me about the Obenauf I have for sale.

He claims to have an Obenauf Model 1 he wants to trade, then realizes I'm not looking for trades, than tells me he'd trade his Model 1 AND $175 CASH.

Needless to say this all sounded too good to be true. A knife of equal value AND $175.....hmm.

Well, I dug this up:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=181993&highlight=paul+amascato

I'm not trading with him, that's for damn sure, but, I wanted everyone to know he's still lurking out there.

WATCH YOUR A$$!

pammo13@hotmail.com is back in town.:barf:

I came real close to selling him an Elishewitz awhile back. I told him cash transfer on paypal only no credit cards and twice I got notice from paypal of a credit card payment. Thankfully I didnt send the knife and just declined his payments. You are much better off staying away from pammo13.

I just got a couple of e-mails from him about these posts so he's definitely reading 'em. Sad.
It takes the same amount of energy to be nice as it does to be mean and hateful.

TBG- I'd thought about that, but, I'm not about to support trading with someone who's been banned from this forum just to put a little cash in my pocket. Not to mention the fact that I doubt I'd ever see that cash, or his knife. I'm not into wasting time when there are plenty of honest folks out there who collect Obies. :)

Cougar- it's a typo, but leave it. No sense in wasting time being respectful to someone who has no respect for others.

notdos- I'll make sure to watch my back on Ebay as well. I blocked him from my Yahoo address, and thus far he hasn't signed up for a new account so he could threaten or belittle me yet. Although, if he's reading this, I may have just put the thought into his head.

Lifter- I've recieved numerous emails stating that he's done similar things to others. I don't know anyone that's successfully done a transaction with him because it seems he isn't bright enough to follow through. That might be a good thing, 'cause it means he hasn't had the chance to actually rip anyone off yet, if those are indeed his intentions. ;)

I successfully completed a deal with Paul about a year and a half ago. He inquired about a Terzuola I had for sale, looking for a partial trade for a small Sebenza. I did a search for him on here, and lo and behold found all the "bad press" you guys did. I told Paul I could not enter into a deal with him due to his being banned. Paul assured me he had changed and stated alot of the negative feedback he had gotten was unfair. Paul offered to send me the small Sebenza and the money order, let me check them out, and then if I was happy, I could send him the Terzuola. I figured this was a fair enough offer so I agreed. The Sebenza was as advertised, so I cashed the money order and sent him the Terzuola, end of my story. The only reason I am posting here, is to say that A) I did successfully complete a deal with Mr. Amascato and B) I thought there might be hope that he really had changed. I'm not sure if he is repeating his previous behavior or not, but if so, look elsewhere. C) I also did not enter into another deal with him sometime ago when I had a Crawford for sale. He did not respond to me email, so I traded it to someone else. Just my .02

I've been holding off on posting for a reason, I just finished a deal with Paul and it actually was started prior to this thread.

Throughout the entire process he was pleasant to deal with, did not lowball or offer trades (I had said "no trades" in my thread). He replied promptly to e-mails and sent payment via Paypal as soon as the deal was agreed upon.

I don't know what happened in the past or why he was banned even the provided link is a little unclear but, I would be happy to deal with Paul again FWIW.

I sold a custom to Paul about 1- 1 1/2 months ago and it went off

without a hitch. Maybe he is trying to change his ways

larry

Well, if he's changing his ways, more power to him.

I was curious to see how many other people have had problems with the guy more than anything else. As I understand it, there was more to it than that one incident.

I in no way intended to drag him through the mud.

Paul if you're reading this, I apologize if I've offended you.

Who's the ******* now? (me:D )

I'd still prefer not to do business, 'cause now he wants revenge! :D :)

There is also another banned member back.Joebe,The Cleaner.Remember him?

If Pelhamer is Joebe then everyone that trades with him should know how he does things. He waits until the item you sent him arrives until he ships out his part of the trade. This is done even when it is agreed that both items will be shipped at the same time. He is a dick.
