Has anyone purchased a F&S commando the MOD version from this company?

Yes.
Quick delivery ($20 fee), knife edge not sharp - won't cut anything. It can be firmly sawed across your fingers without any cut or blood appearing - you only get an indentation on your skin. Point is pointy & sharp. Return is at buyer's cost.

Pacific Bladeware advises (in part)
"The knife you have is precisely the same as the knives supplied to the Australian Special Forces and if they need sharper edges then their Quarter-Master takes care of it. "
"it is certainly not a cutting blade but a stabbing weapon. "
"We do advise however that in the future when buying such weapons, and they are weapons, that you check with the supplier as to the condition of the blade. This can save a lot of unnecessary problems."

I find it odd that Pacific Bladeware put the onus of checking the blade condition onto the buyer when on their website they refer to this item as a "fighting knife" and a "commando dagger". In summary, from information supplied by Pacific Bladeware, it is a dagger and fighting knife that doesn't have a cutting blade.
My old military bayonet was designed for stabbing, but it certainly had a sharp edge to it.

In addition to use as a dagger, old Fairbairn-Sykes information talks about slashing. However, the modern MoD copy of this knife can be firmly sawed across your fingers without any blood appearing. Good luck to the military who uses this one-use "fighting knife".

This knife is made by Egginton Bros Ltd, Sheffield England, owners of the William Rodgers trade name.
