T.K.C....I am sure you are right. I hope noone mistakes my paranoia for thinking CRK knives are not of the very best quality, because thats not in any way what I am doubting....I am just unsure of s30v, thats all. I have this image of S30V literally disintegrating at very small, microscopic levels. I understand the steel is many small balls of material fused together....what if they are not as well fused as we think? Maybe they are only strong when there are many of them to reinforce eachother, but when there are few of them near the edge of the blade, they roll apart and come loose....So do I sound like a total moron yet???? I love the GB and Pacific and I'll most likely end up ordering one soon...I just need a little encouragment due to all the scary posts i've read about s30v. Since I am not knowledgable about steel nor have any experience with s30v, I was looking for various people to share their experiences with the steel, just as you have....and thank you for sharing. Thats a big PLUS for s30v that I can put in my back pocket.
