Pacific Salt owners, I need your help.

I grabbed the Pacific from the stash and decided it would be a great time to carry it with summer coming up. I dig the fact that the H1 just won`t rust and I`ll feel better keepn my other few Spydies safe from the conditions.

Didn`t notice the clip and screw until I wore it today for the 1st time. The Ti clip doesn`t seat flush and the screw sits at an angle.

I`ve done some light clip adjustments in the past on other models, but this is Ti and I couldn`t get it to budge. Did more harm to the finish than anything and ended up stripping and polishing it.

I plan on buying another clip from the SFO, but want to know are your clips the same as mine or do they seat flush like the Native`s clip?

Much appreciated for your help,
Dave

In fact, every one of my H1 knives have a, angled clip screw.

The Tasman Salt, the Pacific Salt PE Yellow, and the Pacific Salt SE Black...

Hopefully you can see in the pictures, but they are as crooked as yours.

Some crappy cell phone pictures:

That is odd. Here's a shot of the old style Endura clip.

The Endura screw has a tendency to come loose. Maybe the Salt clips act like a split washer and keep the screw tight.

very odd... why would the clip rise before it was clear of the barrel screw?
Now I'm going to have to rethink getting a Pacific Salt for a little bit until I hear more - the solid FRN handles are prone to having the clips tear out due to wear in that area...

My Salt is like that too, I dont see it as a big problem tbh.
I have never heard of a clip failing on the Salts.

Weird. I'm looking at my very used and abused Tasman Salt and the screw is dead flush and straight:confused: It is one of the older ones before the H1 log blazed into it, if that helps.

I actually really prefer this clip set up to the 3 screw set up on my Endura 4. My Endura's clip has loosened up a bit, and I don't have a bit small enough to tighten it. I'll pick one up soon enough, and the clip isn't falling off per say.

I had the clip loosen on my Tasman once before, but I just torqued it down with a SAK screwdriver and all has been well for a couple years now:thumbup:

Now I just need to get a Salt I to work into the rotation;)
