Pack Saw

I have a Sliky Super Accel 21, it's been the best compact saw that I've ever used.

I have a Kershaw, which is basically the Bahco.

Great saw, period, but incredible for backpacking.

Goes through wood like butter!

I to have that Kershaw and it is Awesome , I like the Locking features ,locks in the closed & open position; I love it.

Laplander Folding Saw (or any of the folding saws made by Bahco) is considered the golden standard. I used mine in Alaska and goes through the wood like jot knife through butter :)

I really like the Trailblazer sawvivor 15" for camping. The Bahco Laplander on the other hand goes everywhere my knife goes, great combo for hiking and going out to practice bushcraft. Very solid folding saw and keeps an edge for a long time.

Yes, for sure. Thanks Tony, that is one very fine point I missed.

I'm sure there are other great saws out there but anyone looking should consider the Kershaw/Bahco.

Same with the folding Gerber. Locks in both directions. Also comes with a wood and a bone blade usually. I don't care for many of the current Gerber offerings, but their saw will have its place in my pack until I find something I like better.

The Sawvivor saw really looks good, I'm tempted to try one of those.
