I won five items from the same seller. A pocket watch, a flask, a lighter, and two small knives. My hope was that he would put them all in one box and save me some on the shipping (each item had $14 shipping). After winning I wrote the guy with my desire and he wrote back that Russian postal rules made it hard to mail a big package and that he wanted to send them individually. I've tried to reason with him but he answers with these vague reasons about officials harassing people and requiring major paperwork with a big package.

Now, I have no idea what this guy considers to be a big package but all the items together would fit into a small box easily 5 inches on a side.

Anyway, Has anyone out there received packages from Russia (Moscow) of the size that I'm talking about? Can anyone give me some information I could use to convince this guy to use one box?

Thanks....JC III

I might be wrong but I guess he is just trying to charge you more. Do insist on sending it alltogether.

Thats someone who knows how to make a buck!! Even if a package weighs 3-4 lbs it should be able to go anywhere in the world for approx $30-40.00 . This guy wants almost $70.00 just for shipping????? HELL NO!!! Talk about knowing how to make a fast buck in a failed economy! WOW!!
