Packing and using custom folders?

I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I carry Ken Coats customs and use them whenever the blade shape is right for the job. If that means scraping paint off the woodwork, that's what they get used for. Unless you're really used to the modern high-performance alloys, you won't be disappointed.

I see your point, it took me years to pull the trigger on a sebenza because it figured it was to expensive to use, turns out they are the toughest working knives I own and I don't even hesitate to pull it out in any situation.. I scored on this centofante priced right in between a small and large sebbie. I could not stop my self from putting it in my cart. Full on autopilot.

same for me, I eventually folded and bought a sebenza as well, but this was after years of deliberation. Heck I even ended up with a mnandi as well. Nowadays, if I like a knife enough I try to buy two. One to stock, and a user to use so I wouldn't feel bad about damaging it/losing it.

I'm kinda the same with knives. I'm assuming it ATS34 but not for sure. I can't find much info on the knife yet.. like what year it was made. It's a tampa florida era, #125. That's all I know

If anyone knows or has any Ideas of when this knife was made and what the blade steel/handle wood is I would be very appreciative of any information. Im striking out on finding any. Thanks

Sweet catch there CCS  I do not buy knives with an intent to get the same or more $$ down the line, so I treat my customs like I do all of my knives other than the real users (e.g. Opinel & Douk Douk): into it's own pocket or a slip, and use liberally but do not abuse. Enjoy!

Thank you, I'm enjoying it but it's so nice I don't even want to touch it with dirty hands. I'm packing it but it's tucked into a little velvet pouch that came with a little gerber Lockback. A sebenza is expensive but it's a totally different animal. For now it's mainly being used for looking at. I feel lucky to own it.
