Packing two guns?

I've noticed that a lot of y'all carry two (or sometimes more) knives at a a time as EDC. I'm not judging or being critical in any way (truly not my intention) but I am curious as to why you would need more than one folder? It is for different blade styles for different applications? Or is it for a backup in case your primary knife is lost somehow?
Don't get me wrong, I own quite a few knives but only ever carry one at a time. carrying two at a time may elimate the predicament of waking up every morning and debating which knife to take with me for the day (lately it's been between my ZT 0300 and my Emerson CQC-15).

I completely understand why some (myself included) carry two or more knives. What's not so clear to me is why some people rock two or more flashlights. At most, I probably use or need a flashlight once or twice a week. That's why I can't justify spending 60 or 70 bucks on a nice little Fenix or something. I always reason that I'd rather spend that money on/towards another knife. I get that others have jobs, tasks/chores, hobbies, etc. that necessitate pocket-size lights, but why more than one? If one of the possible reasons is for back-up in case of batteries dying, wouldn't it be easier and lighter to just carry spare batteries?

Not making fun of you guys; just thought that it would be fun to continue the tradition :D

The question is:

What two (or more) guns do you carry on yourselves and when?

only at work.

kimber warrior, ruger lcp, patrol shotgun, patrol rifle.

i used to carry a glock 22 in the trunk, but gave that up.

Only around the house. An H&K 93 in a combat sling and a G-17 in the waist band.

I thought this was the "general knife discussion" forum?

Kind regards,

Sometimes I'll carry my S&W 442 in my pocket when I have my Glock 23 or H&K P2000 IWB.

I usually just do that when I know later on I'll be taking my IWB gun off and just carrying the S&W 442 because I want more concealment.

I'm guessing this thread is going to be moved...

When stateside, I typically carry a Sig P239 .40 S&W IWB, strongside, and either a Glock 27 or HK P2000SK (.40) in an ankle holster.

I also carry two knives, generally an Emerson, and a spyderco.

Just one flashlight; a Surefire. I do carry a couple of smaller LED lights, such as a little inova bite light, though.

I've carried this before

And this too, but I really don't often carry more than one.

Ruger LCP all of the time. I call it my American Express, I don't leave home without.

Most of the time I carry my Glock 19 as well, but some circumstances don't allow it

Glock 32 357sig (Primary)
Kahr PM9 9mm (Back Up)

I guess I carry two knives too... Strider AR and Leatherman Charge Xti. My light is a Surefire 6PL with Malkoff dropin and I have a Nitecore EX10 on my keychain along with Leatherman Squirt P4 and Spyderco Dragonfly.

80% ruger lcp 380
15% Taurus ultra light 38 spl
5% Beretta px4

depends on the weather but i always carry something (even to church) bad habit I guess!

The only time I carried 2 guns is when I was doing armed security. I generally carry one gun.

When hiking in Western AK during the salmon runs, I carry a Mossberg 590 backed by a S&W 629 Trail Boss.

In the Lower 48 I have been known to drop a scandium/titanium S&W 340 in my pocket even if I'm carrying something else. It's less than a pound loaded and I don't even feel it in my pocket.
