Packing two guns?

In summer, in light clothing, I always have my Ruger LCP .380 on me (pocket holster). If I have clothing enough on, I'll also have my Ruger SP-101 or Glock 19 cross draw under my left arm pit.

Depending on circumstances, I might just carry the Glock in Thunder Wear if I feel I need to be in, deep, deep concealment (I can hide the Glock in Thunder Wear, and walk around in my boxers without printing.... It conceals THAT well).

Come winter, and more clothes, It'll be the Glock and the SP-101.

"NEVER leave home without it!":D

ON EDIT: I should have mentioned that there are also times that I'll carry any one of the three in one of those gay looking fanny packs.:D Sometimes they just work.

What two (or more) guns do you carry on yourselves and when?

Just one for me thanks.

I have also noticed that among folks who carry for years and years, one tends to see that the size of the gun gets smaller for ease of carry. This is by no means universally true, but it is certainly true for me. Whereas for many years I carried IWB everything from Glocks to Hi-Powers to 1911s, I'm exclusively in the pocket carry mode these days. One just grows weary of carrying a toaster oven on one's hip, I guess.

For you guys who carry 2 guns and a bunch of reloads, thats fine and dandy. Its just not for me. I've tried to downsize my entire EDC package, including the gun.

Edit: my pocket carry gun rotation is now S&W 442 (40%), Ruger LCP (40%) and Kahr PM9 (20%).

If I could EDC everything I'd really like to carry, I'd have to start with a pack mule.:D

S&W 60,bobbed hammer, right front uniform pants pocket Summer, right front jacket pocket Winter..alternately right rear uniform pants pocket..always in homemade rough side out leather pocket liner, for retention and print minimization PLUS duty weapon.

Second firearm back in old days was sometimes referred by some as a New York RELOAD, faster to deploy and fire than reload a DA six shooter. Another consideration was that anything mechanical CAN break..could ruin your day if at a particularly bad time.

One's enough now..no tin on my left chest.

I really like the S&W J-frames, like the 642's or 340PD's but.... when sitting you'd be hosed if you needed it... pretty hard to get it into action with it deep in the pocket.

So... I have switched to a HK45C for my EDC, outside belt holster with untucked shirt. Seems to work for me!

I have a patrol rifle in the trunk of the police car... I have never gotten into the habit of carrying a second gun.
In the Winter, it's not too difficult; any shoulder rig will do under the uniform jacket. However, our somewhat minimal "bike patrol" uniform in warmer weather doesn't leave much room...I typically wear shorts from early Spring to as late in Fall as I can.
Certainly not a bad idea; it generally being quicker to draw a second weapon than to reload the primary, and there's always the possibility of the primary being lost, damaged, or whatever.

DITTO!

My main carry now is a NAA .22 magnum 5 shot derringer. I've been carrying a NAA for 20 years. When on duty, I add either a Glcok 19 or an XD-9 sub-compact however the mood hits me. Now looking to add a Sig P239 (when I find one at the right price). Also a Spyderco Military folder and a very small Victronix/Wegner on my keyring.

As one who has lost his gun during a fight (fell out in the mud), a backup is highly recommended to anyone in uniform. Be safe out there, and be ready.

FOR JILL: Carried these before? Why would you stop carrying the NAA?

I seldom carry two handgun...much more common for me to carry three. A 325PD, Model 12, and either a Colt Detective Special or Kel-Tec PF9 in a pocket or Kramer style Confidential T.

I don't carry yet, but when I do it'll probably be a Ruger LCP. Right now I'm carrying a paracord sling around in my pocket, but purely for recreational purposes. :D

when traveling & going rural i like my colt det. special with the speer gold dots in 135gr. sneaky surprise is the beretta 22 short [do'nt laugh it dropped 2 dogs over130 lbs ].
