.....so next weekend I am heading off into the bush for a week chasing Bambi and Porky around the mountains. I have been going to this place for 30 years, my general list of needs and gear is pretty standard now. A couple of changes this year as I am going to do some practice with my .375H&H so that adds an extra rifle/ammo/cleaning kit to the mix.....HOWEVER...

...packing knives is killing me...... I have put an ASH in the knife bag already (DUH :D )......and an RMD, there is also a B4, R6 and a HRLM I think....I am at times like a 4 year old packing for their first vacation....do I need the SOD...maybe the BWM....wait, the 1311 is strapped to the bike already.....maybe another ASH would not hurt..... and on it goes.... ;)

Sounds like a pretty common dilemma. I end up bringing like 6 or 7 blades for a 2 night camping trip.
Have a good time!

Andy you are missing one of the best knives ever, the Beefmandu.
Have a safe and fun trip cant wait to see the pictures.

Andy, just make sure you're covered from 3 inch blade length to 13 inch... That should roughly cover all your cutting needs :D

Bring a SOB along..... Just as a comparison to the ASH...... Those 2 with a larger chopper ought to do you fine, no?

Better start thinking now about what you'll bring on your safari :D

Fun times indeed. Here, let me frustrate, er, help your dilemma.
Elmax, Skinny ASH, 1311 would get you to heck and back just fine.
B4 & B11 would too.
Active Duty & NMFSH.
Any flavor of Street/Mistress could get you in and out of the bush...
I'm here to help!

But then there is the TGLB....and the NMFBM..... NMFSH.... oh dear Lord when will the insanity stop..... ;) ;)

Went for a bush walk today and had on me 4 fixed blades from 2 to 7". If I need 4 for a few hours then for a whole week you will need 28! Maybe pack a few spares just in case... ;)

Remember, it is better to go into the wilderness with too many knives than not enough. Pack a few more, just in case.....:D

Can't wait to see the pics of your hunt when you get back. Always enjoy when you post them.

Yup..... And book an appointment with your chiropractor for your return:D;)..... Thank God you've got that bike...
.... I also have a BRILLIANT chiropractor..... !!! Years of self-abuse have taken their toll, between work (servicing photocopiers can be tough business) and my general clumsiness ;) I need lots of help to remain walk walking my full 5 foot 1 tall...!!!!! Knowing me as well as she does now (she also loves English Setters, has horses, does not won a television, is Swedish and understands that chasing swine around a mountain is therapeutic) she can generally tell me what have I been doing in the preceding week after I have been on the table for about 2 minutes !!!

Can't wait to see the pics of your hunt when you get back. Always enjoy when you post them.
.... I suspect there will be some ... ;)

Just give Ian a call and have him bring the flatbed. You can take them all. LOL
