Since it wouldn't die, may as well milk it for all it is worth.

Like I said on the previous thread, I can resist anything but temptation.

So Tolk to me Paul...( one ringie-dingie, two ringie-dingie* as Lily Tomlin on Saturday Night Live used to say ).

* Very Bad Taste yes, Insanity only gratuitously. JRRTolkien wrote "Lord of the Rings" thus "Tolk" and "ringie-dingie" and you are correct, it is way past time for my medication.

PS: I did tape the stuffed vulture's derriere to the top of the monitor, and he's staying put now.

We should send a missionary team of shoe repair craftsmen to Nepal..."for the sake of their soles".

You mean that stuffed pink Eveready "Energizer bunny" that keeps beating the big bass drum?

I still say REKAT should have named the SIFU the MARCH MADNESS.

"March Madness"?

Jeez. Ya, that'd be easy to live with.

NOT

Bill saw that monstrosity last weekend, seemed rather impressed

. I'd tell you Pala's impressions but he was WAY too busy doing Nepalese drafting...fascinating to watch though. He should have been an artist.

That's the one, Rusty -- just keeps on going and going and....

Jim, Pala spent 3 or 4 hours "cleaning" up his rough drawings. I think tomorrow he will have all of them ready to ship over along with instructions in Nepali. As I said, it will be interesting.

Bill,

Will you photograph those drawings so you can post them when the cat is out of the bag? I would like to see this alternate way of "Nepalese drafting."

Khukuri FAQ

Howard, I'll try. Pala used a piece of cardboard for his drafting paper and has it stashed somewhere for safe keeping. He has been pondering the secret project since Jim left and is getting more optomistic. I am not so sure.

I think I can roughly duplicate it, close enough so you get an idea of the differences.

It's really neat. In fact, I think I can sorta do a khukuri pic in that style on the computer, try and post it tonight. It's brain-bendingly different but it allows you to see multiple perspectives at once; it actually allows fewer graphics to display a larger percentage of the whole. Very efficient, and accurate so long as you understand the conventions involved.

Jim March, folks,

Pardon me, but I have to share this...

When Jim posted : ..."I'd tell you Pala's impressions but he was WAY too busy doing Nepalese drafting..."

...I had this vision of Pala behind the wheel of a Mellow Yellow HIMIMP-sponsored Chevy, following Jeff Gordon around turn 3, right up on his bumper..."drafting", if you will...his knuckles white on the wheel, eyes peering out from the helmet...

And I'm not even a NASCAR fan.

Been a looo-oong night, 4 more hours to go.

Like I said, 'scuse me

Make that a maroon and saffron chevy with HIMIMP on the front fenders, HHDL on the rear fenders, and crossed khukuris on the doors. Paint Pala's name in Devanagari on the top edge of the driver's door and put a plastic Buddha on the dashboard and a "over 700 yakpower" sticker on the hood and "Ayo Ghorkali" painted between the taillights so those behind him know who's in the lead.

Holy Toledo, Rusty! Jim, you are dead right. Where are the meds??!!

This thread will simply not quit. I think it has taken on a life of it's own. I am afraid to try to close it for fear my computer might explode!
