Paint removal from a leather sheath ?

Hi,

short story, bought a Bravo 1 with a leather sheath thrown in for $10.00, previous owner spayed the sheath with paint.

Sooooo, how do you remove the paint safely while trying to protect the leather from damage ?

MMMM, Not sure if a solvent would muck up the leather or not but other than sanding I don't see any other way, acetone should work.You may have to dye it again.

Just tried it Richard, nail polish remover :)

Worked a treat.

Will put the sheath in the sun tommorrow and hit it with some leather care product i have .
