I picked up a white Endrua 4 that was on sale and overall love the knife. Just wondering what paint would be best to use on FRN? The white gets dirty very easily and it's annoying the hell out of me.

Thanks.

ok..this is easy...

BUY ANOTHER KNIFE!

i dont think that painting the frn is a good idea for alot of reason but the most obvious is the paint will gum up the works if you dont take it apart...and if you do take it apart make damn sure you can put it back together again..

and besides that the paint wouldnt stick long enough anyway, you end up with a mlik cow handle.

really just buy another one.

It's tricky. Paint that's compatible with plastics just sits on the surface, so it chips and flakes easily. Paint that's not compatible eats into the plastic. In the worst cases, can leave the surface a gooey mess. I've used Floquil, a lacquer, on nylon, but it needs to be applied with an airbrush, in very light coats and the piece you are going to paint would need to be totally free of oil and silicone.

But, in reality, Langston's advice is the best - sell the white one and buy a darker color.

Paul Riley (a custom knifemaker here in Ohio) painted my white Delica for me (it's got red lightning bolts on it now) and did a great job.
I don't have any pics at the moment, but I can put some up when I do. E-mail me and I'll give you his address and how to contact him if you want it done professionally. It ran me about $20 for everything.
