I have a pair of Emersons, well one Emerson and one Emerson/Benchmade. The Emerson is a NIB mini CQC-7B BTS (#248).
Handles: Black G-10 epoxy / glass laminate
Liners: Titanium
Blade: 154 CM
Finish: Black - T™
Grind: 'B' Blade - Chisel Ground Tanto Style, partially serrated edge
Overall Length: 7.15 in.
Blade Length: 2.90 in.
Handle Length: 4.250 in.
Blade Thickness: .125 in.
Hardness: 57-59 RC
Weight: 3.75 oz.

The other is a Benchmade-Emerson collaboration, the original SPEC WAR CQC7 that is no longer in production. This is a Benchmade 970 that is not NIB, indeed I didn’t get the box with it. It is used and the handle and clip show some evidence of that; the blade however is unsharpened. When it arrived the blade was “stained” and I was told of this. I used some Blue Magic on the blade and it removed the offending stain. I conservatively grade this knife at 92% primarily due to slight scuffing of the handle and clip; while not pristine it is still great.
Handles: Black G-10
Liners: Titanium
Blade: ATS-34
Finish: bead blast
Grind: Chisel Ground Tanto Style, plain edged
Overall Length: 8 in.
Blade Length: 3.25
Handle Length: 4.625 in.
Blade Thickness: 1.25.
Hardness: 59-61 HRC
Weight: 4.3 oz.

Why am I trading you might ask; I discovered I don’t like the chisel grind on blades. I like both knives fine other than that but already have a pair of BM Strykers so these two are excessive (at least in my collection). So this could be a good deal to someone who does like Emersons and has always wanted a 970.

I like MT LCC’s & Terz's; maybe a swell Karambit; folders for sure, otherwise I dunno…
