WOW...impressive pair Dawkind. I especially like the damascus one. You certainly show eclectic taste in your pictures. What is the cloisonne item? Looks as it could be a cover to a jar of perhaps a pin.
Thanks all for your replies.....it's a small 'covered dish'. My MUCH better-half keeps me in pretty good stead with all kinds of odds and ends to use for props.
Those are quite amazing. I am particularly drawn to the names given to these knives because they somehow resemble their names. Without reading the names at first I could really see that the Humpback looked a bit like a shark or the like and the blade on the toucan really resembles a beak.
What exquisite use of lines to get these effects. A real artist at work.
It's nice to see Tom's work posted here. His knives are really well made. He's a nice man, and straight shooter. I own a "Hump" flipper of his, but it's bit different than the one you have posted. I enjoy your posts because you usually have such nice photos with all the areas of interest covered.. Best, Rich
